The Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI) will honor the 2010 Philippine Independence Day Parade Grand Marshals Mr. Benjamin H. and Dr. Zenaida E. Santos on Saturday, March 27, 2010 starting at 7:00 p.m. with the traditional Grand Marshals Gala, the first of many events commemorating the 112th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence.

This year, the Filipino and Filipino-American community will be marking the 20th year of this annual celebration, which has, over the last 15 years grown into the largest commemoration of Philippine Independence outside the Philippines, where it is observed officially as a national holiday.

The Grand Marshals Gala will be held at The Astoria World Manor, at 25-22 Astoria Boulevard, Astoria, Queens, New York 11102-2940, phone (718) 278-7766, Saturday, March 27, 2010 with Cocktails at 7:00 p.m. and the dinner dance at 8:00 to 12:00 midnight.
