Abandoned, rejected, and ignored

In Mark 15, we see the most incredible journey in human history when Jesus is crucified on the Cross for each of our sins. That is a journey of love! Jesus suffered, bled, and died on the Cross for me.

Jesus is beaten beyond recognition, Jesus is carrying His Cross, mocked and ridiculed, and they nail Jesus to the Cross and lift it.

In those hours, darkness falls on the earth, and Jesus, in a loud voice, says, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” Mark 15:34

Think about how we feel when abandoned, rejected, or ignored. As Jesus was hanging on the Cross, this was the first and only time that Jesus did not experience the presence of His Father. God loved His Son but can have nothing to do with sin.

What a wonderful Jesus who took my sin to the Cross. He took the rejection of God so that we could find His Love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness of all our sins.

Today, the Lord provided us access to God the Father. Today, you can start the journey of following Jesus by asking Him to come into your life!
