When will we learn to change and be all that God wants us to be? When will we be All In for Jesus? When will we trust and obey?
Dr. Richard Dobbins said: “Until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change, people will not change.”
Sometimes God has to cause pain, tension in our lives to change. We see this throughout the Word of God.
Psalm 107: 4-9; “Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. THEN they cried to the Lord in their TROUBLE, and He DELIVERED them from their DISTRESS. He LED them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. Let them THANK the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man! For He SATISFIES the longing soul, and the HUNGRY SOUL He fills with good things.”
- How many people are wandering in life and doing their own thing. We have wandered in the world and are spiritually hungry snd thirsty. We have made choices that are not in alignment with God.
- When we realize how far we have wandered from God, we must make the choice to cry out to the Lord in our trouble. If we are not willing to come to Him, we will not find our way out of the troubles of life!
- When we cry out to the Lord….He delivers us from the distress…He leads us to the right place, that He wants us to go. It is not enough to cry out to the Lord. We must follow Jesus to where He is leading us.
•We respond with thanksgiving for His love, and works in our lives. We thank Him because He satisfies the hungry soul! And then He fills the hungry soul!”
Am I satisfied with the wandering or do I have a hungry soul that God wants to satisfy with His good things?
“Until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change, people will not change.
