Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday, the day we celebrate that Jesus rose from the grave. Because He lives, we can now live life more abundantly and for all eternity!
In John 6, Jesus is telling the crowds of people about eternal life and that Jesus is the Bread of Life. Many people were coming to Jesus for miracles of healing and provision, but then Jesus started talking about the cost of following Jesus. And people started to complain and stopped following Jesus.
John 6:66-69 reads, “At this point, many of His disciples turned away and deserted Him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve disciples and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.”
How are we going to respond to Jesus personally? Are we going to follow Jesus because He is the One who gives eternal life?
