As Paul concludes this letter to the Corinthian Church, he gives them some final instructions for how to live this journey of following Jesus.
1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 tells us: “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all you do be done in love.”
This is good instruction for us as well on our journey.
Be watchful- Be aware of all that is happening around us! Be careful and stay awake. This is not the time to become spiritually tired but to be watchful.
Stand firm – We must stand firm to follow Jesus. We must come out of the world and live for Jesus!
Act like men and not like children. Grow up and take responsibility for your actions and your choices. Are we growing up in our spiritual journey?
Be strong in the Lord! If we are going to finish our journey, then we must continue to be strong in the Lord and the Word!
Let love be the motivating factor of your life!
Lord, help me to live this on my journey of following You!
