Critics — especially those coming from the MAGA-cult wing of the Republican Party — are having a field day talking and disseminating unverified claims that President Biden allegedly has dementia or even Alzheimer’s disease.

This column respectfully suggests to the White House that there is only one way to dispel the nasty rumors about President Biden’s health. He has to undergo a new physical exam by a team of private physicians who do not employ the government does not employ. Why? Because the critics of Mr. Biden will always claim that any medical report from the president’s physician or even from the U.S. Army Medical Corps would be biased. If he agrees to this suggestion, the president will have to waive, of course, regulations concerning privacy rights between patients and physicians.

Mayo Clinic studies on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease say that “while dementia is a general term, Alzheimer’s disease is a specific brain disease. It is marked by symptoms of dementia that gradually get worse over time. Alzheimer’s disease first affects the part of the brain associated with learning, so early symptoms often include changes in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. As the disease progresses, symptoms become more severe and include confusion, changes in behavior and other challenges.”

” . . . Dr. Gupta and the other medical panel members can have a commercial-free discussion on CNN about their findings on President Biden’s health.

This column respectfully suggests Dr. Gupta heads a panel of three to five neurologists conducting the medical examination and tests. He is CNN’s chief medical correspondent. Perhaps the White House will agree to invite other private medical experts on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease from the Mayo Clinic and other leading hospitals to join Dr. Gupta.

Coincidentally, Dr. Gupta will air a special program on CNN on Sunday, July 7, at 8 p.m. EDT called The Last Alzheimer’s Patient. This columnist is sure that Dr. Gupta and the other medical panel members can have a commercial-free discussion on CNN about their findings on President Biden’s health. And it will probably attract more viewers than the 51 million individuals that watched the June 27th debate between President Biden and former POTUS Trump.

Why isn’t Dr Gupta suggesting Trump have the same test ,or is CNN taking FOXs spot. Give both candadates the same test by unbiased Neurologist ,or you are going to loose your credibility.
