Come today and fill me with Your Presence, Power, Provision in my life! “Come Holy Spirit, I Need You!”

John 14-16 is Jesus teaching us about the purpose, need, and necessity of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer.

John 14: 17-18; “He is the Holy Spirit, who leads you into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him, and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans – I will come to you.”
What simple verses are life-changing when we open our lives to the ministry and purpose of the Holy Spirit?

• The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth! The Holy Spirit will always lead us to the Word of God and lead us into God’s Truth. Not our truth, not man’s truth, not worldly truth, but leads us into the truth of God’s. John 14:6; “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” He leads us into the truth, but we must choose to walk in it. I need the Holy Spirit’s leading continually, or I will get off course spiritually!
• The Holy Spirit must be received and recognized by the follower of Christ. Do I realize that the Holy Spirit is active in my daily life? Do I see Him working in me and then through me? I must be a follower of Jesus to realize that the Holy Spirit is living in me!
• The Holy Spirit now lives continually in us as followers of Jesus. Jesus says before His death on the Cross and Resurrection to His followers: V. 17; “….because He lives WITH you now, but later will be in you.” Today, the Holy Spirit is living IN YOU AND ME, as a follower of Jesus! What empowerment, encouragement, and expectation should we bring into our lives?
• The Holy Spirit will not abandon us as followers of Jesus. He will never leave us nor forsake us
  in life. We can reject the Spirit, we can ignore the Spirit, we can grieve the Spirit, we can quench the Spirit, but the Spirit will not abandon us!

Why would I not want to receive all that the Holy Spirit can provide in my spiritual journey? Come today and fill me with Your Presence, Power, Provision in my life! “Come Holy Spirit, I Need You!”
