MANILA (March 30) — President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will be the guest of honor of Convergys Corporation during the launching of its three new contact center facilities in the Philippines on April 1. The three new state-of-the-art facilities are located in Cebu Asiatown i3 in Cebu City; the UP-Ayala Land TechnoHub in Quezon City, and the Nuvali TechnoHub in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
In a statement, Convergys has said that with the opening of these three centers, Convergys now has a total of 12 operational contact center facilities in the country providing employment to approximately 16,000 employees.
The Nuvali TechnoHub is a ‘green’, environmentally friendly facility that will accommodate approximately 900 employees. This is the first contact center facility for Convergys in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
The Cebu i3 facility will be Convergys’ third site in Cebu City and is deemed one of the fastest growing locations for the company outside Metro Manila.
The UP-Ayala Land TechnoHub site can hold up to 1,000 employees and is Convergys’ seventh center in Metro Manila.
Dave Dougherty, Convergys President and CEO, Andrea Ayers, President, Customer Management, and other senior executives of the global company will attend the event. Many government officials are also expected to attend each site’s opening.
Convergys’s headquarters is in Cincinatti, Ohio and according to its Web site, employs nearly 75,000 employees who serve clients in over 70 countries, speaking more than 35 languages, from 85 contact centers and other facilities across the globe. Half of the top 50 Fortune 500 companies are its clients.
