In Acts 19, we see Paul’s journey to Ephesus and the beginning of the church in that city. We see that Paul went to the synagogue and preached about the kingdom of God. But some became so stubborn and rejected the Gospel.
So Paul led the believers, and for two years, they began building the followers of Jesus. Paul preached the Gospel, and powerful signs and miracles were happening.
We see the results in verses 17-20: conviction of sin and confession of sinful practices. Deliverances from sorcery and witchcraft brought their incantation books and burned them. We read the value of the books was several millions of dollars.
In verse 20 – “So the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect.”
What does this have to do with me?
CONVICTION LEADS TO CONFESSION, WHICH RESULTS IN CHANGE!
Lord, start in me and help us to be used to lead others to follow Jesus!
