For its first offering, the Tambayan Series focuses on the Philippine military’s seemingly renewed hostility towards the state university.

Just consider:

 The Defense Secretary himself terminated the decades-long UP-DND Agreement;

 The DND, again, labeled UP as a breeding ground and recruitment base of the New People’s Army, and;

 The Armed Forces chief tagged 18 UP students who he said joined the NPA and were killed.
