Storms are a part of the journey of time. Storms have different lengths and intensities in life. Everyone will have to face them, but are we prepared for the storms before facing them?
In Luke 8:22-26, we read about a storm that Jesus and the disciples underwent. Jesus and the disciples get into a boat to cross the lake. Jesus takes a nap, and a quick-moving storm comes at them. The boat was filling with water, and they were in danger!
They go to Jesus shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” Jesus wakes up and rebukes the wind and the waves. Suddenly the storm stopped, and all was calm.
In verse 25, Jesus asks them: (and us today), “Where is your faith?”
How would we answer that question? Where is our faith? What are we putting our faith in? Our faith must be in Jesus on the sunny days as well as the stormy days!
Jesus was in the boat with the disciples, and we can have Jesus in our lives today. Invite Him into your life right now.
Sometimes Jesus calms the storms of life, and other times He allows the storms to come but calms His child!
Today, my faith is in Jesus when we face storms on life’s journey!
Read Psalm 27; if you are in a storm today!
