NEW YORK — Three Filipino American performers—Reggie Lee, Jeff Francisco, and Katrina Rosita—are among the standout talents featured in Netflix’s hit legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer, a series developed by David E. Kelley and based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling novels. Their participation highlights the growing visibility of Filipino artists in mainstream Hollywood productions.

Reggie Lee: A Veteran Actor Bringing Depth to a Complex Role
Reggie Lee, a longtime Hollywood actor known for roles in Grimm, Prison Break, and The Dark Knight, appears in The Lincoln Lawyer as a man accused of human trafficking. At the show’s premiere, Lee said he was grateful for the opportunity to portray a character whose struggles reflect the lived experiences of many Filipino immigrants.

He emphasized the importance of representation, noting: “The struggles of Filipino Americans, trying to get here, do what they have to do in order to make a living… I love that because it’s really human. So I was really happy.”

Lee admitted he initially hesitated to take the role, but ultimately embraced it because of the creative team behind the series. “It was a question for me when I took this role… but if I can find the human aspect of it, I’d like to do it because it was David Kelley and Ted Humphrey, and it was a wonderful experience.”

Beyond acting, Lee is also preparing for his first Hollywood producing project, a TV series titled Concepcion.

Katrina Rosita: A Rising Actress Expanding Her Range
Fil-Am actress Katrina Rosita, credited for roles in The Fifth Hour of the Night and Just Between You and Me, appears in The Lincoln Lawyer as Tanya Cruz across six episodes.

Rosita’s growing résumé includes work in television, film, and streaming projects. Her credits span drama, comedy, and thriller genres, demonstrating her versatility as an actress. She has also appeared in Killing It, Kidnapping in the Grand Canyon, and several independent productions.

Her inclusion in the series underscores the show’s commitment to diverse casting that reflects the multicultural landscape of Los Angeles, where the story is set.

Jeff Francisco: Another Filipino Talent in the Ensemble
While less publicly profiled than his co-stars, Jeff Francisco is also featured in the series, contributing to the show’s growing roster of Filipino American artists. His participation was confirmed alongside Rosita’s in coverage, highlighting the Filipino presence in the cast.

A Series Known for Diversity and Strong Storytelling
The Lincoln Lawyer stars Manuel Garcia‑Rulfo as defense attorney Mickey Haller and features a diverse ensemble cast including Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Yaya DaCosta. The series premiered in 2022 and has since been renewed through multiple seasons due to strong audience reception.

Garcia‑Rulfo himself praised the show’s multicultural casting, saying he was “happy and grateful for the show’s diverse cast, which reflects modern-day Los Angeles and its vibrant immigrant population.”

Fil-Am Representation on a Global Platform
For Lee, Rosita, and Francisco, appearing in a globally streamed series is both a milestone and a responsibility. As Lee noted, “For us, Asian Americans, especially for Filipinos, we got to keep the foot on the gas pedal… We’re the second largest Asian American community, yet the least represented in the media.”

Their presence in The Lincoln Lawyer marks another step forward in expanding Filipino visibility in Hollywood—one meaningful role at a time.
