Fil Am Movie Debuts In New York, Other US Cities

NEW YORK – “Don’t Stop Believin: Everyman’s Journey,” a film directed by Filipino American filmmaker, Baltimore-based Ramona Diaz made its simultaneous premier screening on March 8 in various theaters in New York City, NY; Los Angeles/Orange County, CA; Honolulu, HI; Chicago, Il; Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA; Washington, D.C.; San Diego, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; , Santa Fe, NM; New Haven, CT; , Richmond, VA;, Memphis, TN;, Columbus, OH. The film will also be shown in other dates in Anchorage, AK; Rockland, ME and in various cities in Japan.

The film follows the real life rock ‘n’ roll fairy tale of Filipino Arnel Pineda, who was plucked from YouTube to become the front man for iconic American rock band Journey. In this Cinderella story for the ages, Arnel , having overcome a lifetime’s worth of hardships, must now navigate the immense pressures of replacing a legendary singer and leading a world-renowned band on their most extensive world tour in years.

The film features band members, lead singer Arnel Pineda and original Journey members Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory and Deen Castronovo. It was an official selection of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, San Francisco Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival and San Diego Asian Film Festival. It recently won the Audience award at the prestigious Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey was directed, written and produced by Ramona S. Diaz. It has a running time of 105 minutes and is unrated by the MPAA. Cinedigm/Docurama Films .
