In Luke 22, we see Jesus preparing for the journey to the cross. In verses 7-30, we see the last supper that Jesus will have with His disciples.

Jesus tells them about the cross and that He would die. But the disciples began arguing about who would be the greatest in the kingdom. They fought over titles, power, and position when Jesus was gone.

Jesus addresses that His kingdom is not about titles, positions, and power but about serving.

Luke 22:26; “But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.”

As followers of Jesus, the way up is the way down. God will bless us with greater things if we are faithful in small things! We should focus on towels, not titles, people, not power, opportunities, not positions.

Lord, help me to be a servant like Jesus on my journey today!
