In Luke 5: 1-11, we see that Jesus gets into Simon Peter’s boat and preaches to the crowd of people. Then they go out fishing after they fished all night and catch nothing, but then Jesus tells them to cast the net out, and there are so many fish that they have to call other boats to come and help with the fish.
The point is: It is always better to have Jesus in your boat (life). If Jesus is in your life, you receive all of His blessings in and on your life.
They return to shore, and Simon Peter realizes that Jesus is the Messiah and that he is a sinner. He says to Jesus, “Oh, Lord, please leave me – I am such a sinful man.” That is just like me and you as well. We are all sinners, but what Jesus tells Simon Peter is the same He tells us. He gives an invitation to every single one of us.
Luke 5: 10-11 tells us: “Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on, you will be fishing for people! And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.”
The most significant decision that you will ever make is to follow Jesus! When we follow Jesus, it changes our destiny! Jesus has a purpose for your life, beginning with following Jesus in every area of your life.
When you decide to follow Jesus – you will live out your purpose in influencing others to follow Jesus!
Please help me to follow you today!
