What is valuable to you? What is the most valuable item that you have in your home today? What value do you place on your family? Your home? Your money? But what value do you put on yourself?

Do we realize that God values each of us? God sees us as valuable, so He sent His Son to die on the Cross for us!

Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1: 18-19, “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lost their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the spotless Lamb of God.”

We purchased a new car, which had lost value when we drove it off the lot. But we love our cars, so we are willing to lose value on something because we love our car. Material things will gain or lose value over time. There is no guarantee that the stock market investments will gain an increase in value.

But one thing will never lose its value: Jesus Christ. God valued you and me so much that He sent His one and only Son into the world to save us, redeem us, and set us free from everything in this world.

You may not feel precious when you look at yourself. However, God says “You” are valuable to me, and I want you to know that I love You and have paid the price for your salvation!

Today, realize that God determines your value, and He has a good purpose and plan for your life that will be with you every step of the journey!
