The Journey continued after the Cross and the burial of Jesus. The women make the Journey to the tomb and witness the greatest miracle of all time.
“The Angel said to the women, ”Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as He said, Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead..” Matthew 28: 5-7
What a miracle that these women witnessed on that Resurrection morning. These women made the Journey and saw the miracle. Where were the disciples and other followers of Jesus? They missed the miracle because they did not go to the tomb.
The Angel tells the women, ”Do not fear…” Today that is the message that the Lord gives to us. We do not need to fear; we need faith in God’s Word. God is faithful to His promises.
“You seek Jesus who was crucified.” Today we need to seek Jesus, as well. We will find what we seek from Him.
“Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these other things shall be added unto us.” Matthew 6:33
Then the Angel to them to “go and tell the disciples.” Every follower of Jesus is told to go and tell others what Jesus has done in their lives! We are told to go as well.
The Resurrection of Jesus is the greatest miracle because the impact is still changing lives today! I know because it changed the Journey of my life!
