He knows everything in my heart and mind

In Luke 22: 54-65, we see the journey of Jesus going to the cross and the journey of Peter.

Jesus told Peter he would deny Jesus three times before the rooster crow. But Peter denied that he would ever deny Jesus. But he did! We see that three times he denied Jesus.

The Lord does know what we are like. He knows the real us and still loves us. He knows when we are good and when we are flawed. He knows our hearts and our thoughts! I remember growing up, and my parents always said before I left the house to go out with my friends, to school, or on a date, “Remember, the Lord sees everything you do!”
The Lord knew Peter, and the Lord knows us!

Peter denies Jesus three times. In verses 61-62, we read, “At that moment, the Lord turned and looked at Peter. SUDDENLY, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly.”

Lord, help us to remember God’s Word before we make the choices that will lead us to sin. Lord, help me to remember that.
You see the real me and know everything in my heart and mind!
