When we receive Jesus into our hearts, it is a miracle of God’s amazing grace. We receive spiritual life because the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. That means we are never left alone, but that we have the presence of God’s Spirit living in us 24/7! What a miracle that transforms us day by day.
Paul wanted the Christians in Corinth to realize this Biblical principle, and we need to understand this today. 1 Corinthians 3: 16-17; “Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”
If we are the temple, the house where God’s presence dwells, then we need to allow the Holy Spirit access to every area of our daily life. If we want His presence, then we need to make room for Him to rearrange His house (you and me) as He so desires.
We cannot have the Holy Spirit living in us and not be holy or become more like Jesus in our daily lives.
Today, welcome the Holy Spirit to live with you, empower you, help you, comfort you, and watch as your life reaches the next level in your spiritual journey as a follower of Jesus!
Holy Spirit, I welcome You into all areas of my life today!
