On this journey of following Jesus, I am only responsible for my walk with Jesus. I am responsible for my spiritual life direction as I walk with Jesus. I am not competing or comparing myself to anyone else but simply walking with Jesus.
Paul wrote to the Galatian Church and us followers of Jesus today in Galatian 5:5 – “For we are each responsible for our own conduct.”
I am not responsible for your walk but for my walk with Jesus. I am responsible for my choices and responses to what Jesus wants. I cannot change you, and you cannot change me; that is why I must take personal responsibility for the choices that I make in my life.
We cannot blame the culture, the world, the city, the school, or even my parents for my choices. I must decide to follow Jesus for myself! Remember that we are not alone, but we have a companion, a friend, who always walks with us. We have the Holy Spirit, who helps us make the right choices!
Today, you are not alone because the Holy Spirit is walking this walk with you and me! He will equip and empower us to make the right choices today!
