HONG KONG (Apr. 30) — Ranked as the top among all Foreign Service Posts worldwide to have registered new applicants for the overseas absentee voting (OAV) for the Philippine National elections in 2010, the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Hong Kong continue to maintain its lead with a total of 5,753 registered as of Apr. 23. Hong Kong PCG has been in the top spot since Feb. 26.
This was a result of the combined registration activities in the Philippine Consulate General premises in Admiralty and the field registration in St. Joseph’s Church in Garden Road, Central.
The Hong Kong PCG has been conducting field registrations in various locations in Hong Kong such as St. Joseph’s Church in Garden Road, Central (March 22 and April 19); The Church of Annunciation, Tsuen Wan (March 29); Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Yuen Long, New Territories April 4); and, El Shaddai in Sungtsun Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Sai Kung on (April 5).
Two simultaneous field registrations were also conducted on April 26 in St. Francis Church in Maon Shan and St. Vincent’s Church in Hang Hau.
