I need Your strength today Lord, I do not know what pressures I will face

Pressure is a way of life today. We continually face pressure in our daily lives, in marriage, family, financially, at work, in school, and even in our spiritual lives.

Kevin Leman said, “Life is a pressure cooker, and whether you remain serene or become stressed-out depends on how you handle that pressure.”

Pressure is a way of life, but how we handle it is our choice!

Proverbs 24:10: “If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.”

Without Christ, we are at a disadvantage when handling pressure. We only have the strength to deal with the daily pressures we face. But with Christ, we have an advantage because His Spirit is living in us. We are not handling the pressure of life in our own strength, but in His strength.

Remind yourself as a follower of Jesus:

  • “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
  • “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
  • “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

I need your strength today, Lord. I do not know what pressures I will face, but I can stand strong because of You!
