“The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness, where He was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of Him.” Mark 1: 12-13
If we take the Journey of following Jesus, the Spirit will even lead us in times of wilderness. We do not like wandering in the wilderness seasons of life, but we learn to walk by faith, trust, and obedience in the wilderness. Some things in our spiritual lives are only developed in the wilderness!
The Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, where Satan tempted him for forty days. Temptation is not a sin! What we do with temptation determines victory and growth or defeat and sin.
When we defeat temptation, it grows us stronger in our faith. The wilderness may be scary, but the Spirit is with us even in the wilderness!
It is better to be in the wilderness with Jesus than to be in a comfortable place without Jesus!
Lord, help me to follow You in all the seasons of my life!
