Is anything too hard for the Lord? How will we answer this question?

Here is a question we must answer on the journey of following Jesus. In Genesis 18:14: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

Abraham’s wife, Sarah, was unable to conceive a child. God promised them a son, but now they are old and have had no children. The Lord comes to them and tells them that by next year, this time, they will have their son.

Sarah laughed to herself, and the Lord asked Abraham: “Why did your wife laugh? Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

Sarah’s laugh was not one of joy, happiness, and expectation. It was one of doubt and frustration. Do not get my hopes up again. I have been waiting for God to come through all these years and no baby.

What is the thing that we have been waiting for the Lord to answer in our lives? What is the thing we struggle with believing in in our lives?

The Lord asked Abraham, Sarah (and you and me today), “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

How will we answer this question?
