Jesus lived on purpose by living out God’s will for His life!
In Luke 4, Jesus is teaching in Nazareth. He reads from the Book of Isaiah: Jesus reads what God’s Will was for His life.
Luke 4: 18-19, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to see the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Jesus then declared, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
The Spirit anointed Jesus! We need the anointing of the Holy Spirit to fulfill God’s will in our lives!
Jesus was called to proclaim the Good News to spiritually poor people. We are called to proclaim the Good news to lost people! Read the Great Commission- “Go into all the world.”
Jesus came to set people free! Jesus is still setting people free today!
Jesus came to heal people physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It means Jesus came to make people whole.
Jesus came to see people who are oppressed by the enemy free! Jesus wants us to be victorious over everything the enemy uses to oppress us today!
Jesus came to declare God’s favor! We need His favor, blessing, and mercy over our lives today!
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Allow Jesus to accomplish His purposes in your life in 2026!
