Jesus gives hope in every situation

When I read the Book of Acts and see the journey that God asked Paul to follow, it amazes me that Paul knew that following Jesus would not always be easy. But Paul never wavered from following Jesus with his all!

We see that Paul goes back to Jerusalem and is beaten, and they arrest Him for following Jesus. Then as a Roman citizen, Paul is sent back to Rome and is on a ship. A storm at sea comes up and is deadly and lasts for days. (Acts 27). They are fearful of dying in the storm.

In a crisis, Paul ministers to the people on board the ship. A crisis allows believers to point people to the only One (Jesus), who gives hope in every situation.

Acts 27: 22-24 tells them what the Lord showed to Paul. (The importance of spending time with the Lord. “But take courage! You will not lose your lives, even though the ship will go down. For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and serve stood beside me, and he said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul, for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God, in His goodness, has granted safety to everyone sailing with you.”)

When we follow Jesus, we will go through times of crisis, but if we keep following Jesus, He will bring victory into our lives.

Paul said, “He that began a good work in me, will bring it to the day of completion.” You may be going through the crisis of a lifetime, and this is the time to stay close and follow Jesus through the storm!

Lord, help me to follow You all the days of my life!
