John 10:27-29; “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from Me, for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.”
If we are followers of Jesus:
- We know His voice and listen to Him. There is a difference between hearing and listening. Hearing does not require action, but listening requires action, a change of direction in our lives.
- Jesus knows us because we belong to Him. We have been purchased by Jesus, so He has a right to my life. He loves me, values me, and will lead me.
- I will follow Him! That is the action I must take daily. He leads, I follow! Not debate Him, not make excuses, but I follow Him wherever He leads me. Because I trust Him and know He is doing what is best for me.
Why should I follow Jesus? Because He has given me eternal life! That is the reason we should listen to Him and follow Him!
