MALOPOLSKA, Poland — Katrina Llegado of Taguig City was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 in Malopolska, Poland, becoming only the second Filipina to win the international title after Mutya Johanna Datul’s historic victory in 2013. Llegado bested 66 contestants from around the world, earning praise for her polished performance, advocacy, and resonant final answer.

Her win marks a major milestone for the Philippines, which had waited 13 years for another Supranational crown. Pageant analysts noted that Llegado’s victory was the result of years of persistence across multiple national competitions.

During the final Q&A, Llegado delivered a standout response about authenticity: “We should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect,” she said, reflecting on her journey toward embracing her true self.

From Taguig to the Global Stage
Born on November 9, 1997, Llegado grew up in Taguig City, where she first entered pageantry in 2018 as a candidate for Mutya ng Taguig, finishing in the Top 5. She later joined Miss World Philippines 2019, earning the title Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, which allowed her to represent the Philippines in Bolivia, where she placed 5th runner‑up.

Llegado is a cum laude graduate of De La Salle University–Manila, completing her degree in Financial Management in 2018. Before entering pageantry full‑time, she worked in banking and later co‑founded the cosmetics brand Clocheflame in 2021.

Her background also includes public service: Llegado became a Philippine Air Force reservist in 2023, inspired by her grandfather’s military service. “My love for serving the country rolls back to my grandfather,” she said in a Supra Chat segment.

A Seasoned Competitor
Llegado’s pageant journey is marked by resilience. After her Reina Hispanoamericana stint, she competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2022, finishing as 2nd runner‑up. She returned in Miss Universe Philippines 2025, reaching the Top 6, where she was appointed Miss Supranational Philippines 2026, securing her ticket to the international competition.

Her years of training with Aces & Queens and her consistent placements in national pageants made her one of the most anticipated Filipino candidates on the global stage. Pageant commentators noted her “military precision” in performance and her strong communication skills.

Llegado’s journey began even earlier, with Mutya ng Taguig in 2018 — a stepping stone she credits for building her confidence and shaping her identity as a representative of her city and country.

A Crown for the Philippines
Her win was celebrated widely across Filipino communities and pageant circles. Rappler described her as “the perfectly imperfect Taguig stunner” who gave the Philippines its second Supranational crown. GMA News highlighted her as a “pageant veteran” whose persistence across multiple competitions finally paid off.

Llegado said she hopes to use her reign to promote authenticity, empowerment, and service. “I am here today doing my best and becoming my best version,” she said.

As Miss Supranational 2026, she will embark on a year of international travel, charity work, and advocacy — carrying with her the pride of Taguig, the Philippines, and the global Filipino community.
