Job 1:12 tells us God’s response to Satan’s accusation that Job only serves God because of the blessings and protection in life.
“And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” Satan left the presence of the Lord!”
We may have a difficult time understanding why God would allow Satan to do this to Job or us today.
God knows us and is always working in us and through us to make us more like Jesus! God allowed Satan to test Job but gave him limits on what he could do to Job. You can touch things around him, but you cannot touch him.
God knew that Job would pass the test. God knows our limits, and He makes a way for us to escape and get through the tests of life!
Lord, empower me to see the test and to stand strong and faithful to you!
