As a worshiper who is a living sacrifice, we are the person whom God accepts. (Romans 12:1)
We need to understand that worship is not what we do, but who we are in our daily lives. Our worship should change the way that we live.
Romans 12:2; “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Worship should transform the way that we live our daily lives. Our part of worship is so much more than Sunday morning when we come to a worship service. Worship must be who we are every day.
Worship will help us to change the way that we live in this world. Worshipers do not copy the behavior and attitudes of the culture that we live in today. We do not worship the culture, but we worship King Jesus! We allow the Holy Spirit to change the way we think. Worship is not just emotions, but it changes the way we think and perceive things in this world. When our worship and Word change the way we think, then we begin to see things from God’s perspective, and we begin to know God’s Will for our lives, and His will is always good, pleasing, and perfect!
Lord, empower me to worship You in Spirit and in Truth, and not just do worship but become a worshiper that will change my Spirit and Mind so that I will worship You as a lifestyle, and not just a Sunday morning Church activity!
