Jesus is the Light of the World, so if Jesus is in me, then I have the Light of the World living in me! I should have His light shining brightly in my life, wherever I go!
In Luke 11:33 and 36, we read about the purpose of a light! The light shines in the darkness, and the darker it is, the more the light shines.
“No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all in the house.” We need to let the light of Jesus shine from our lives, not just on Sunday at Church, but we should let Jesus shine in every dark place that we do!
“If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Light and darkness cannot coexist in our lives. We need the light of Jesus in every area of our lives.
When you turn on a light in your home, the darkness disappears. When Jesus, the light of the world, comes into our lives, the darkness has to leave!
Lord, fill me with more of Your light today, so that I can shine for You today!
