There is an old song with the words, “Love makes the world go round.” Love motivates us to follow Jesus in our daily lives.
When we realize how much God loves us, it changes our reason for living. I can do nothing to make God love me or to stop loving me. God loves me so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross to forgive all of my sins.
What will happen in our lives when we know that God loves us? I will become more like Him. If God is love, then
I will be loving towards other people.
1 John 3:10 reads, “By this, it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”
If I am a child of God, then I will become like my Father, and to be like God, I will love like my Father loves.
Lord, forgive me for not loving others the way you love me. Help me to love others today with Your love!
