Lord, help empower me to BE with you and not just DO for You!

Psalm 27 shows us how to follow Jesus. David not only teaches us a lesson about following Jesus but also shows us through his life.

If we want to follow Jesus, we need to connect to Him and have a personal relationship continually.
Psalm 27:4 shows us the desire we need to stay connected to Jesus.

“One thing I ask the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.”

Is knowing Jesus a priority in our daily lives? Knowing Jesus must be our desire and discipline every day as followers of Jesus.

Lord, help me to be aware of my connection with You. Empower me to BE with you and not just DO for You! I choose to “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
