Lord, help me always choose to follow You wherever You lead me

We need to remember that we are on a journey of following Jesus. A journey requires movement, going somewhere where the Lord is leading us. God is leading us, but are we not following Him? God is not calling us to be stagnant but to grow in following Him.

We see this in Exodus 33:7; “Now Moses used to take the tent (the presence of God) and pitch it outside the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

Why did Moses pitch the tent outside the camp? Because people would have to choose to go and meet with God, to get up and move to where the tent of meeting was put up.

How many people want God on their terms? How many of us wish to be comforted in following Jesus?

Jesus would call people to leave everything to follow Him. They had the choice to follow Him or reject Him.

We have the same choice today.

Lord, help me always choose to follow You wherever You lead me!
