Are we faithful with everything that God has blessed us with in life? Are we faithful in the spiritual? Are we faithful to the relationships that God has blessed us with? Are we faithful with the material, financial gifts? Are we faithful in the ministry gifts God has given us? God is always faithful, but are we being faithful with all that God has entrusted to us?
In Luke 16, Jesus is teaching about being faithful as a follower of Jesus. In verses 10-12, Jesus Himself says: “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly weather, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with the things of your own?”
Being faithful is not a part-time thing; it is being consistent, disciplined, reliable, and trustworthy in everything God has blessed us with in life. “Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father.”
So whatever God has blessed us with, we must be faithful in how we deal with His blessing. How can we expect God to bless us if we are not being faithful to all that He has given to us?
How many people pray? Give me more, Lord. And God is asking us, “Are you being faithful to what I have already given to you?” If I am not faithful, God is not going to entrust to me more!
Instead of asking for more, ask the Lord to empower you to be faithful with what He has already given to you!
Lord, help me be faithful in the small and the big, so that You can trust me with more!
