How many doubt God is concerned about me and what I am going through? Do we feel like where is God when I am in need? Why does God not treat us all equally?
David has those emotions as well. We read in Psalm 13: “How long, Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?”
Psalm 139:3; “Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.”
Psalm 139:5- 6: “BUT I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me.”
Lessons we can learn:
- Pour out! – We will all experience pain and problems in life. We can pour out our complaints to the Lord. Release your feelings, hurts, and questions to God!
- Pray! We must move beyond complaining about our problems and begin to pray about them. Ask the Lord, “What do you want me to learn from this problem?”
- Praise the Lord! Begin to magnify the Lord more than your problems. “BUT I will trust in Your unfailing love…”
There must come a BUT time in our lives when we stop pouting and start to pray and praise the Lord!
