Being a follower of Jesus means transformation! There must be a change in our lives from the internal to the external. When Jesus comes into our lives, we begin a lifetime journey of changing to be more like Jesus! Where are we in the transformation journey?
Paul wrote the Church in Corinth: “…For we are the temple of the living God. As God said, “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be there, God, and they will be my people.” Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
What a journey of transformation, and it is just because of allowing the Spirit to do His work in each of our lives!
Jesus says:
- I will live in them! Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to live in us and dwell in us every moment of every day. I never need to take one step without His presence in my life!
- I will walk among them! The Holy Spirit is walking with us every step of the journey. He is with us when things in life are easy, and He is with us in the most difficult times of life!
- I will be their God, and they will be My people! We are of such value that Jesus purchased us, and we are not for sale. We belong to Him!
- I am responsible for coming out from the world, sin, and flesh and committing myself to the Lord. Who is Your daddy? Who is your God?
- My choices are to leave the things of sin, flesh, and the world, and as we allow Jesus to transform us on the inside, everything in our life changes! Attitudes, Behavior, Communication, Decisions, Examples, Families etc.
- I choose whether I will be a son or daughter to our Heavenly Father!
Today, I must remember that my decisions determine my direction, and my direction determines my destiny!
Lord, help me to allow you to transform me on the inside!
