In Matthew 24, Jesus is preparing His disciples and followers for how we should live before He returns.

A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the Master can give the responsibility of MANAGING His other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward.” Matthew 24:45-46

If we are preparing for the coming of Jesus, this is when we need to be faithful and sensible as followers of Jesus! Are we managing everything that God has blessed us with to build His kingdom? Are we managing our time, priorities, gifting, and finances for building His Kingdom?

What will Jesus say when He returns? Will He see us faithful and sensible to living out His will in our lives? What have we done to build His kingdom?

What are we doing for Heaven’s sake? What are we doing that the Lord can reward us because we have done a good job of managing everything that He has given to me!

Lord, help me to be a faithful and sensible servant until You return!
