Lord, help me to be a follower who is fruitful for You and Your Kingdom!

Why do we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit continually? Because we need to stay connected to Jesus if we want to be fruitful and productive in our spiritual life!

Look at what the Holy Spirit produces in our lives: John 15: 1-4; “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.”

We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit continually because:

* We need to be reproducing the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives. What good is a fruit tree if it is not reproducing fruit? If you have a fruit tree and it does not produce fruit, it is a useless tree. What is the purpose of a follower of Jesus if they are not producing fruit in their lives? The Holy Spirit will cut off those branches in our lives that are not producing the fruit of the Spirit.

* We need the Holy Spirit to continue to prune our trees so that they will continue to produce good and healthy fruit in our lives. That means we never reach the point where we do not need the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. We are to continue reproducing the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives, as long as we are living!

* Without the Holy Spirit living in us, we are unable to produce the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives.

Lord, help me realize that I need You and that I must choose to remain in You today! Lord, help me to be a follower who is fruitful for You and Your Kingdom!
