Accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord makes you see everything differently. The Lord opens our spiritual eyes, our thinking, and our attitudes and desires change. That is why Jesus says: “You must be born again.” Because everything changes with Jesus!

Paul wrote to the church to tell them that religion is not the answer but a life-giving relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit that comes to live in us! Life changes when you follow Jesus.

2 Corinthians 3: 16-18 describes what happens when you invite Jesus into your life: “But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So, all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord who is the Spirit – makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.”

This spiritual journey of following Jesus never ends as long we are alive. The role of the Spirit is to make us more like Jesus every day! The Holy Spirit changes us to be more like Jesus, not to make our lives easy and comfortable, but to make us more like Jesus.

We must ask ourselves: am I becoming more like Jesus daily? If the Holy Spirit is in You, He is working on you to become more like Jesus.

An old chorus says: “To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus, all I ask is to be like Him. All through life’s journey from earth to glory. All I ask is to be like Him.”

Lord, help me to be more like you today!
