Lord, help me to be like Joseph and a godly influence in the lives of people

God’s blessings are not just material things; the greatest blessing is His favor, His Presence, and His Peace, which are with us even in life’s most challenging times.

We see this in Joseph’s life: God’s blessing is with us when we walk in God’s Will. God’s will is not always what we want, but God is getting us to where He wants us to be.

Joseph was hated by his own brothers, sold as a slave, and found himself being taken to Egypt and sold again as a slave to Potiphar. But this was all God’s Will for Joseph.

How would we respond to this? But look at Joseph’s response: Genesis 39: 3-6; “Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. From the day Jospeh was put in charge of his master’s household and property, the Lord began to bless Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished. So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned. With Joseph there, He didn’t worry about a thing – except what he would eat.”

As followers of Jesus, people should notice the difference that Jesus makes in our lives. They should be blessed because we are blessed by the Lord in our lives. They should see that we are different because of Jesus in a good way. We should be a godly influence in the lives of people who contact us. Jesus tells us that we are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

Lord, help me to be like Joseph and a godly influence in the lives of people I come in contact with. Bless my family and friends as they see Jesus in my life today!
