How many of us feel like giving up spiritually? Why keep praying when we see nothing changing in our situation?

In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus gives the Parable of the Persistent Widow.

“And Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart,” Jesus explains the meaning of the parable before telling it.

A widow keeps coming to the judge, asking him for justice. For a while, he refused, but because the woman kept coming to him, he finally gave her what she wanted.

Jesus says, verses 7-8: “And will not God give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

Lord, help me to be persistent and keep believing and trusting You, that You not only hear our prayers, but You answer prayer!
