What are our priorities in life? What are you striving for this coming year?
In Luke 12, Jesus gives the Parable of the Rich Fool! We see that a man had everything anyone would want in life. But he strived for More! So he knocked down his barns and built bigger ones to store his crops. Then I can take life easy; eat and drink and be merry!” Verse 19
But look at how God responded to this kind of attitude:
Luke 11:20-21; “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then you will get what you have prepared for yourself?”
“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
What are we spending our lives on? What are we striving for in life?
Are we looking for the material things or the presence of God to satisfy our innermost needs?
Is Jesus enough for us?
Lord, help me to be rich towards God!
