As a child of God, we have the Holy Spirit living in us, so that we have no excuse to not walk in faith and in victory. Are we living in spiritual victory or defeat? We are either winning or losing spiritually – there is no in-between.
1 John 5: 4-5 tells us clearly, “For every child of God DEFEATS this evil world, and we achieve this VICTORY through our FAITH. And who can WIN THIS BATTLE against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”
God has given us everything we need to defeat sin, self and satan. But do we live in faith that “Greater is He that is IN me, then he that is in the world.” Do we have faith that “no weapon formed against me shall prosper?” Do we believe the power of Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the power of the Word of God?
My son had to take a number of tests this week for a new job. I told him that we are praying for him, and that go into with confidence, that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
No matter what you are facing in life today, put your faith in Jesus who saves us from sin, satan and self. Realize that the Holy Spirit dwells in you and is with you through this situation, battle of life. Realize that God won’t fail – His Word! If I obey God, I can walk in faith and confidence that God is my victory today!
Are you living in victory or defeat today? I must walk in faith in Jesus Christ! As the old song says: “Oh, victory in Jesus, My Savior forever. He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.
Lord, help me to choose Your Victory in my life today!
