Lord, help me to follow You today and to speak life, hope, and faith

We all want to be negative, complain, and grumble when we undergo testing and trials.

The children of Israel repeatedly show us this. In Exodus 16: 1-3, we see that they begin the journey through the wilderness. No one wants to go through a season of being in the wilderness. It is a season of testing, trials, pain, and difficulty.

In verses 2-3, “And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, and the people said, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in Egypt when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into the wilderness to kill us with hunger.”

This is only a couple of months after leaving Egypt. How quickly they forgot about living as slaves. How quickly we forget about living in sin and that Jesus saved us. But we grumble and complain when we go through testing or the wilderness.

Lord, help me to know that You are with me and leading me in every season of life! Help me to follow You today and to speak life, hope, and faith!
