The Journey of following Jesus is moving forward! There is no retreat or reverse in the journey of following Jesus! But how many have chosen to retreat or go backwards?
Jeremiah 7: 23-24; “This is what I told them, Obey Me, and I will be your God, and you will be My people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!” BUT My people, would not listen to Me. They kept doing whatever they wanted, following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward.”
The question we need to ask ourselves is whether we are moving forward with the Lord? Or are we moving backwards? The direction we are going is determined by knowing Jesus and following Jesus in obedience.
Are we following Jesus and the Word of God, or are we following our own sinful desires? This is the decision that we must make daily. Because our choices will determine the direction that we are going, and will determine the destiny of our lives!
Lord, help me to keep moving forward in You!
