Lord, help me to know that I have been forgiven of all my sins, and to love You with all of my heart!

As followers of Jesus, we must never forget the depth of our sin so that we can appreciate the amazing gift of God’s grace. When we realize the depth of our own sinfulness, then we will constantly walk with the Lord.

Romans 6: 22-23; “But NOW you are FREE from the POWER OF SIN, and have become slaves of God. NOW you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Because of the Gift of Jesus, we are now free from the power of sin! Jesus is not just an insurance plan to get us to heaven, but Jesus is also the instruction manual of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Jesus is not just about heaven, and that is vitally important, but Jesus is also empowering us and equipping us to live for Jesus in our daily lives!

Because we are free, we can also do those things that lead us to holiness, and the result of becoming more like Jesus is eternal life.

In Luke 7, Jesus goes to a home, and while he is sitting there, a woman comes in and begins to worship and love Jesus. She is weeping, and her tears are falling on the feet of Jesus, and she wipes his feet with her hair. We would say this is extreme. But this sinful woman understood God’s grace.

In verse 47, “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven – for she loved much. But He who is forgiven little, loves little.”

We all need to be forgiven of our sins, because we all sin. We come to realize our sin and understand that Jesus is worthy of all our lives, because He has always forgiven us our sins! Help me to know that I have been forgiven of all my sins, and to love Him with all of my heart!
