Lord, help me to know that you are MY source, and not just a resource

We need the Holy Spirit’s presence, power, peace and provision in our daily lives. Why would we not want the gift of the Holy Spirit? Paul prayed this over the followers of Jesus.

Romans 15:13 – “I pray that God, the SOURCE of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

The Holy Spirit is our source of everything we need in life, and not just our resource! The Holy Spirit is more than just what He gives to us, but that He is the source of everything we are and need in life.

* He is the source of JOY! Joy and happiness are two different things. Happiness is external but the joy of the Spirit is internal because of the relationship that we have with Him.

* He is the source of PEACE! Jesus said: “I will give you a peace that passes all understanding. When we have the Holy Spirit, he gives us a peace on the inside when everything around is in chaos.

* He is the source of HOPE! Hope is a faith that because we trust in God that “All things will work together for the good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose!

Lord, help me to know that you are MY source, and not just a resource. Fill me today with Your Holy Spirit that will give me Your Presence, Your Peace, Your Power and Your Provision for all of what I need today!
