Lord, help me to know that You are working Your purposes and plans in my life today!

When we know the Holy Spirit as our Helper in life, and we are in Harmony with God’s Will, then we can understand Romans 8: 28-29. If we are not filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in God’s will then we will not understand these verses:

“And we know that God causes everything to WORK together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become LIKE HIS SON, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.”

This does not mean that God will take away everything from us that we do not like in life. But God will work things for good to make us more like Jesus and that we want His purpose and plan in our lives. God knows us and will allow things into our lives that will make us more like Jesus!

How do we become more like Jesus? Loving God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. Loving God as the #1 priority in our life. And living out His plan for our lives which means surrendering to God’s will and purpose for our life.

God will use everything in life for our good, if we will surrender to His purpose and plan for our life. Good does not mean comfortable, easy, and happy times, but Good means that if I respond in complete surrender to the Lord, then all things will work together for good!

This is what Paul says in Philippians 1:6 – “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished of the day when Christ Jesus returns.”

This is a continual process until Jesus returns or we go to meet Jesus!

Lord, help me to know that You are working Your purposes and plans in my life today! Help me to respond in love and in surrender to You and to Your Will for my life!
