What describes our perspective of life: sadness or gladness? Gladness is different from happiness! Happiness is based on external things going on in our lives. I am happy when my team wins, something good happens to me, or I get a new car. But we are not always going to be happy in life.
Isaiah 51:11 tells us: “And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
If we are followers of Jesus, we are worshipers, and because of our relationship with the Lord, we will obtain gladness and joy because of Jesus, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Do you live with sadness or gladness today? Lord, help me know the gladness of following You today!!
